New German formaldehyde emission requirements 2020

HOMANIT ensures cost-neutral reliability.

The new revision of the German Chemicals Prohibition Ordinance (ChemVerbV) for the analysis of formaldehyde emissions from wood-based composites is currently a hot topic. It is also giving rise to uncertainty in many areas with regard to the availability of compliant products, classification and additional costs.

As an important partner in the wood products industry, HOMANIT has therefore set itself the goal of clarifying this situation and ensuring sustainability. Consequently, as of 1 October 2019, our entire worldwide raw board production will have been modified to meet the requirements of the Chemicals Prohibition Ordinance (E05), which will apply in Germany from 2020 onwards, and at no additional cost to the customer!

This means predictability and security for you, since from 1 October 2019 onwards the products you receive will meet all the formaldehyde emission requirements without you having to bear the additional costs.

All currently applicable properties and specifications will remain unaffected, of course.
